There is something about making things yourself.  A homemade loaf of bread, a homemade gift card, you know what I mean.

I have always loved crafts.  Two of my favorites are crocheting and quilling.  And lately I’ve had the pleasure of getting back into both of my old hobbies.  I started to make a rabbit puppet for Svara for her birthday, but never did finish it.  So tonight I sat down and finished it.  Here it is:

Not the most advanced crochet project I know, but it was my first for a very very long time, and I’ve never crocheted a rabbit before.  Or even a puppet come to think of it.  I created the pattern on my own after looking at a few on the internet for inspiration.  I’m sure Svara will enjoy it!

Next up I’m going to be crocheting her some yarn dolls.  I’m going to keep them and give them to her on the plane during our trip for her new toy.  Hope she likes them!

The quilling project that I finished a few days ago was a frame for a friend for her wedding.  We framed the quote that was on her wedding invitation.  Sadly, I forgot to take a picture before we wrapped it up!  Ugh!  I’ll have to have our friend take a picture of it for me  haha.  Wish I could show you, it’s more impressive than the rabbit!

But it is nice to be back crafting again after so long!

  1. hi… thanks for dropping by my blog…it’s nice to know that you can crochet! I’m still learning as I just realized crocheted wool soaker or shorties is even greater for heavywetter on fitted diaper! I’m sure you will be able to continue crochet and get a nice pattern (yes, tons of free pattern on the net) for your girl…. it will be addicted!
