As I said in the previous post, we’ve been in Wisconsin now for a couple of weeks.
It took about a week to get over jet lag. Svara, not me. To stay sane I had to sleep when she slept, as I never knew when she’d wake up! Some mornings it was 5:30, some mornings she was kind and let me sleeep until 6:30 or 7. Finally after a week she started sleeping until 8:30 or 9 (most days). She goes to bed around 9 or 9:30. So that’s a good night’s sleep. Whew!
For the first week and half we had AWESOME weather. Cool enough for it to be a relief from living in Malaysia, but warm enough to play outside for as long as Svara wanted to (and she wanted to play outside a LOT). Here are a few pics:
Svara LOVES this swing!
Here is a great pic of her on a cute bench!
After the first week and a half the “heat wave” was over and real fall weather took over. Svara and I caught a cold from my sis and it was too cold to play outside 😦 But Svara has plenty to do inside as well!
Here she was having fun with my mom’s bucket of clothespins!
Playing with playdough! Though Svara does think the playdough tastes disgusting, she seems unable to control the urge to keep putting it into her mouth. sigh…
Even though Svara has a highchair here (and it’s the one all 7 kids in my family sat in!) Svara has found delight in sitting in “big person” chairs. Here she is so excited to be sitting in a big chair and eating her bread.
Well, it’s getting late, so I”m going to stop here for today. I’ll put up some more pics soon. Overall we’re having a great time! It’s so fun seeing Svara interact with my family and they are loving having her here.
