All Night Long!

Last night was  first!  So it’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve stopped nursing Svara at night.  There were 3 nights when I did nurse her in that time, but she wasn’t feeling well.  Even though she was no longer nursing at night, she was still getting up and calling for us to help her find her pacifiers, or just for some comfort.  But last night she didn’t call for us at all!  I put her to bed at 8:15 and she talked to herself/played for an hour and a half.  Then she was quiet… and she didn’t call for me until 7am!!!  I’m not sure what time I fell asleep, but I got between 6 and 7 hours of sleep in a row.  That hasn’t happened since…. since sometime during my pregnancy!!  wow!!  Here’s hoping the trend continues 🙂

Since Svara doesn’t nurse at night, she nurses for about an hour in the morning, it’s pretty crazy.  But at least I get to lay in bed for another hour!

It’s pretty cute listening to Svara play before she goes to sleep at night.  Sometimes she sings songs and prayers.  Then she’ll start counting.  Last night she was even making her dolls talk to eachother in different voices.  haha!  The other night Naren went up when she called and found that she had taken ALL of her stuffed animals out of her tent and put them in bed with her.  She sure is loving the freedom of having a bed and her own room!

I don’t mind her playing/singing before she goes to sleep at night because it gives her a chance to play by herself which she doesn’t do much of during the day (she always insists I play with her).  Plus I figure if she is playing by herself before bed there is a higher possibility of her sleeping longer in the morning.  And it’s cute to listen to 🙂
