So that’s what she was up to…

A couple weeks ago Svara was getting into the habit of getting up and playing by herself in the mornings and after she woke up from her nap.  Since then she has not done it very often, but it was nice while it lasted.  One day she woke up from her nap at 3pm.  She was playing by herself, and I could hear her chatting away to her dolls through the monitor.  I took the chance to read a bit, and clean a bit, expecting her to call me any moment.

Two and a half hours later…. (yep, two and a half!)   Naren came home and I told him he could go up and get Svara.  He called me up a minute later.  This is what we found:

A torn up tissue box:

Tissues on the floor:

Tissues on the bed:

And tissues stuffed into a plastic bottle!

I just had to laugh!  Only a few of the tissues were torn, so we were able to pick them up and fold them again.  All in all, I’d say the 10 minutes of clean up time was well worth the 2 1/2 hours of quiet playing time!

  1. How lucky are you? If Little Elvis is playing quietly by himself for oh, 5 minutes, I can expect to have at least 30 minutes of scrubbing on my hands. He doesn’t like to color on paper, but our white walls make great canvases!
